Travis Kelce on Chiefs loss to Seattle: ‘You can’t be okay with being mediocre’
Kansas City’s tight end was fired up on his podcast.
National and local beats, ESPN, team blogs and insiders, summarized with the source link alongside. Anything without a checkable source does not get published. This window covers 32 of 32 teams; the last sweep ran October 29.
The rankings and the predictions come out of a single chronological pass over nflverse data, and their guarantee is that no row ever sees the future. The moment a headline from today moved a projection, that guarantee could no longer be demonstrated — and every validation number on this site goes with it.
So the news sits next to the numbers, never inside them. You make the adjustment: the model does not know that back is hurt, and this page exists so that you do.
Confirmed is an official announcement. Reported is a named insider. Rumor is everything else, including “expected to” with a famous byline on it. The distinction matters more in August than at any other point in the year: camp produces far more conversation than information.
Ordered by what you can do about it, not by when it was published. Once your leagues are synced, what affects your roster will rise above everything else.
69 items came in, and none of them carries a relevance score, so this filter had nothing to rank — that is not the same as nothing mattering. Today’s sweep read the outlets’ feeds straight, without the pass that judges what an item means. The items are below, newest first, unranked.
Everything the sweep published in this window, newest first. Relevance 4 and 5 move a lineup; 3 and below explain why the next one will. Nothing is dropped — filter it down to what you need.

Kansas City’s tight end was fired up on his podcast.
James Cook is a talented RB with a fumbling problem. If he doesn’t improve, Joe Brady says he will reduce his touches.
With game-winning drives and the surprising rise of the Cleveland Browns, Deshaun Watson could join the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year conversation.
Against Tampa Bay in Week 15 last season, Pitts had one of the best tight-end performances in NFL history, catching 11 passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns.
Is that realistic?
National analysts and former players are finally calling Detroit Lions’ Jared Goff an MVP candidate and top-five QB
Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff has almost never been in the top-five quarterback conversation for his entire career. He got some accolades early during his time with the Los Angeles Rams, but ever since he was traded to the Detroit Lions for what the Rams deemed an upgrade in Matthew Stafford, Goff has been commonly […]

Davante Adams is reportedly recovering quickly and more NFL news on a Wednesday
Sean McVay reported that Davante Adams had a successful surgery, and as far as the head coach is aware, Adams could be back closer to six weeks from now than 10. Adams being back healthy and sooner than later would be good news for L.A. Six to 10 weeks was the projected time Adams would […]
Jayden Daniels has spoken to OC David Blough about how Commanders can be more efficient heading into Eagles clash
Jayden Daniels has been scrutinized more that he’s used to this past week, with his play under the microscope during a bye and blame being freely cast his way. Such is life when you’re 1-4-1. It’s common for NFL quarterbacks on underperforming teams, but not something he has experienced since being taken No. 2 […]

161 situations across the 32 teams, each with who said it and when. The tag measures availability, not severity: what decides a lineup is not how bad the injury sounds, it is whether he plays. And it was set by whoever compiled the dossier reading the quote, not by a medical diagnosis.
These entries are attributed and dated, but carry no link, unlike the items above. That is why they get their own section: forcing them into the same format would mean relaxing the link rule, and a guarantee that gets relaxed to make room for new data stops being a guarantee.

Camp reports are among the least predictive data in this sport, which is why the substance level goes in front instead of buried: high is a coach quote or a confirmed change of role; low is loose praise in August. Of 7 reports, only 7 are high substance — that ratio is the real finding.
He has taken most of the early-down reps in team drills, with Alvin Kamara pushed to third downs and passing situations. That is an explicit role split, not an isolated play.
Kevin Patra (NFL.com, early takeaways 32 equipos) · 2026-08
He took considerably more snaps than J.J. McCarthy in recent practices and appears to have separated in the starting competition. On 8/17 he worked with the first team in 7-on-7 and team periods, with three red-zone touchdowns to T.J. Hockenson.
Kevin Patra (NFL.com) + Rob Kleifield (Vikings.com, camp observations) · 2026-08-17
Levi Edwards (8/16): the sixth-round rookie “earned increased reps with the FIRST team,” confirmed by head coach Kubiak: “Malik has pushed in... he's earned those reps, but let's keep him humble.” He made “arguably the catch of the day,” winning the ball at its highest point on a go route from Fernando Mendoza. On 8/4 receivers coach Zach Azzanni had already called him “a steal.” A role bump confirmed by the coach.
Levi Edwards (Raiders.com) · 2026-08-16
HC Dave Canales confirmed he would play with the first offensive group in Buffalo, rotating with Chuba Hubbard: “he'll play with the first group, he'll mix in and out with Chuba.” His first game since 2024 after two ACLs. He has been a full participant in camp.
Kassidy Hill y Darin Gantt (Panthers.com, camp observations) · 2026-08-12
8/12 (day 13, last open practice before the preseason debut): Sanders took ALL the first-team reps; Deshaun Watson got most of the second-team snaps with Dillon Gabriel rotating. Sanders threw a rollout touchdown to Blake Whiteheart in the red zone, connected with Isaiah Bond in 11-on-11 and led a successful two-minute drill with throws to Harold Fannin Jr., Denzel Boston and Bond. Cameron Wolfe reported Sanders and Watson will alternate as preseason starters. A verifiable change in first-team reps.
Brian D'Aguanno (ClevelandBrowns.com); Cameron Wolfe · 2026-08-12
Confirmed as the starter for the first preseason game against Denver, with Cooper Rush and Jack Strand rotating. Michael Penix Jr. still cannot do 11-on-11 (mostly 7-on-7 reps) and did not dress for that game. QB coach Alex Van Pelt: “the last three or four days he's really come on.”
Will McFadden (AtlantaFalcons.com, camp report) · 2026-08-11
Patra: he “looked excellent” eight months out from Achilles surgery and is taking ALL the first-team reps. Michael Greene (8/10) confirms he tops the first unofficial depth chart, with Riley Leonard and Anthony Richardson Sr. co-listed as backups, and that Jones sat out Thursday's game against New England precisely so the backups could separate. QB1 confirmed.

Medium and low substance stay in research/dossier.json. They are not published here because showing them beside the others makes them look equal, and they are not.
109 daily-coverage writers, by team. The local beat is usually ahead of the national one on what happens inside a practice: they are there every day. This list is also what steers the daily sweep — it does not search for “NFL news”, it searches for what these people publish.
The 21 publications the dossier draws on, with what was used from each. The ones marked unverified are forum threads: they are kept because sometimes they land first, and they are marked because mixing them in with an insider report without saying so is what makes a bibliography worthless.
It is a press reader, not a data source. It summarizes what other people published and links to it; it does not verify that any of it is true, and has no way to. A wrong insider report gets summarized here just as well as a right one — that is what the confidence tag is for, and why the link is mandatory.
There are two stages here and they fail separately. Reading the feeds is deterministic and needs no key — it runs on a schedule and records which sources answered. Summarizing and judging is run by Claude with web search and needs an API key; when the key is missing that stage does not run at all, and nothing on this page gets newer. Items without a valid link are discarded before they reach this page, and the full history stays in research/ inside the repository: if the link dies tomorrow, what was published today still exists.
